Chicken Pox Treatment

Chickenpox is commonly transmitted among children, sometimes at gatherings known as 'chickenpox parties'. While typically less severe in children than adults, it presents with an itchy, spotty rash that can appear anywhere on the body. Chickenpox spots appear similar in both children and adults, though adults often experience higher fever and more spots. Currently, chickenpox vaccination is not routinely available through NHS.

Symptoms and Stages

• Main Symptom: Itchy, spotty rash.

• Stages:

  • Stage 1: Small spots appear, varying in color and location.

  • Stage 2: Spots fill with fluid, becoming very itchy and may burst.

  • Stage 3: Blisters form scabs, which can be flaky or leak fluid.

• Other Symptoms:

  • High fever

  • Aches and pains

  • General feeling of illness

  • Loss of appetite
